First visit today and I was very pleased with the quality of the food, presentation and friendly atmosphere of the pemises due to the nice staff. Difficult to understand the queuing system in the shop.

The bread rolls I bought were perfect, however I also bought some confectionery that wasn’t as nice. The large egg custard was extremely stiff and tasteless and inedible and had to be disposed of. The Eccles cakes were stale and also had to be put in the bin.

Remember getting hot cross buns from Adkins for William Bancrofts on Roden Street before they closed in the 90s. A hot cross bun for every employee at Easter, irrespective of role within the company. The buns were always outstanding, fresh, tasty and enjoyed by every one. Freshly delivered with a smile. Glad they are still in business and doing well. Long may they continue.

A landmark moment came in 2012 when the Bakery was the outright winner of the ITV programme “Britain’s Best Bakery” to choose the country’s best small bakery. Hambleton bakery was formed as a partnership between Julian and Tim to make top quality bread for the existing restaurants. The success of the product led to the opening of six shops and more than 150 wholesale accounts. The product range was gradually expanded to include cakes and savouries which share our bread philosophy.

REVIEWS

Great selection of breads, we are a fan of their sourdough, paves and olive bread. Everything always tastes freshly baked and the service is friendly.
Great tasting treats, lovely bread, kids love the manchets, my favourite is the pecan, cinnamon swirl…. sticky, not too big but delicious. Would love them to try out some new stuff as they have conquered the current range.
Remains the best baker in West bridgford.
