I was only in Nottingham for a few weeks and wanted to learn some self defence, the academy completely catered to my needs! For a great price I was offered three one to one sessions as well as unlimited access to classes throughout the month
After not taking much interest in sport at school my son started Aikido at age 8 and took to it like a duck to water. The instructors are great and my son still loves going 2 years on. The academy is not only great for children though.
I thoroughly enjoy my classes with the Shudokan and find Aikido has really strengthened my core and coordination. It is a graceful martial art that I would certainly recommend. The Sensei’s are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, encouraging you at all times. I would highly recommend the Academy and Aikido.

Great place! Top coaches with tons of patience, allowing you to develop at your own pace and grow in confidence. Definitely recommend and they do kids classes as well they always seem like they having fun.
It was a great experience. I totally enjoyed the training session and it was for women only. Looking forward to going back again.
My 7 year old daughter has been going here for over a month and absolutely loves it here. Instructors are really friendly & professional! Highly recommended.

All levels are welcome, staff and members are very helpful and it’s just a lot of fun to have your body doing functional movements. I love the Thai boxing and boxing sessions with Master Owen aka Ice-man who has trained the likes of Dan Hardy, Jimmy Wall head aka judo Jimmy and many more
Amazing gym for all levels! Very friendly atmosphere. Paul is very knowledge and always looking after everyone and this reflects on the team. He build not just a gym but a strong community for everyone to learn new skills.
Great facilities and great atmosphere, with incredible coaches catering for all levels. The gym has a weight area and a large mat space allowing multiple sessions to run at once daily. The gym offers BJJ classes for all levels in gi and no gi, muay thai boxing, wrestling and MMA. There is also student discount available for students like myself. Cannot recommend this place enough. Why not come down and learn a new martial art, first taster session is free!
