It has since built up an enviable reputation for the high quality of furniture it crafts, as well as the superlative reupholstery service it offers. Having started with a small number of high end retailers, Designer Workshop has expanded and now works with antique dealers, carrying out extensive furniture restoration – particularly to french button back chairs and sofas. I was lucky enough to discover Tan and his team of amazing craftsmen after seeing some work he’d completed for another client of theirs. Having acquired an old victorian Howard style chair complete with wobbly arms and tired upholstery,

Designer Workshop has very skilled craftspeople. I don’t usually offer to do a review, but more people should know about this upholsterers in New Basford, Nottingham

Tan is lovely and his (and his team’s work) is immaculate. A true craftsman and gives great advice on fabric choice as well. Highly recommend.

They did such an incredible job on the corner sofa I ordered. I got to pick the fabric myself and have the patterned sofa of my dreams! The sofa is so comfortable and well-made and I look forward to using it for decades to come.

For many years we had the luxury of our own showroom, which had been a great way to showcase David Mill’s workmanship. Due to escalating high street rental costs and a large portion of our business coming from internet enquiries we made the decision in 2018 to leave our fixed premises behind, and ‘go mobile’.Though this was a big change for Stylistic, the quality of our work remains the same. Our small team of re-upholstery specialists continue to provide beautifully restored furniture. We have a fantastic range of fabrics for you to choose from, whether in the comfort of your own home, or for those who would prefer we have a fabric viewing area at our home office.

From start to finish the customer service has been excellent. We had an old sofa-bed re-built and reupholstered and wanted something a bit luxurious and striking. Anthony visited (all COVID-secure!) as many times as we needed with fabric books and options for us. We felt the price was very reasonable and once we’d made our decisions it happened very fast.
Words cannot express my delight seeing my much loved sofas having a new lease of life. On recommendation, I contacted Stylistic Re-Upholstery hoping they could offer a solution in revamping my sofas.
We are very pleased with the service, advice and end product. Very responsive, professional service, furniture picked up and returned within one week and the furniture looks fantastic.
